The Suilven Centre is home to the long-standing Orkney Chiropractic Group, which has been offering McTimoney Chiropractic treatments on Orkney since 1990.

In addition to treatments for humans, Chiropractic is available for animals, such as horses, dogs, cattle, sheep and cats on the Orkney Islands.

Kay McCarroll, who owns the centre, has been practising as a Chiropractor for 20 years.

Kay is also trained in muscle work and Kinesiology, offering comprehensive support for clients with back pain, sports injuries and other musculo-skeletal problems.

The Centre offers other therapies to complement the Chiropractic treatments, such as Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, Massage, Remedial Massage, Podiatry and Reflexology.

The Chiropractors and other therapists work together to create the best recovery programme for the client according to individual need.

Conditions helped by the gentle McTimoney Chiropractic treatment include back, neck and shoulder pain, stiffness in joints and bones, migraine and tension headaches, muscular aches and pains and sports injuries.

Pregnant mothers, babies and children are especially welcome at our clinic.

The McTimoney Chiropractic techniques can offer benefit to pregnant mothers, helping to keep the body aligned and relaxed during pregnancy, alleviating the discomforts and aches that occur during that time.

Babies can be helped with conditions such as correcting misalignments created during birth, feeding problems and continuous crying.

We also welcome people of later years who may have mobility or long-standing aches or pains.

The Centre offers integrated natural healthcare - further therapies offered, which support well being of body and mind.

These include Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Seikhem, Reiki and Reverse Therapy.

All practitioners are fully qualified.

Emphasis is on wellness care by providing preventative therapy on an ongoing basis to suit the needs of the client.

Animals can be helped with lameness, eating problems,
misalignments, uneven walking or movement difficulties.

The Centre is easy of access and has wheelchair facilities and its own parking, as well being on the Dial-a-bus route.

Clients report they enjoy visiting the Centre for its friendly welcome and calm atmosphere.
